  1. 36 people {a1, a2, …, a36} meet and shake hands in a circular fashion. In other words, there are totally 36handshakes involving the pairs, {a1, a2}, {a2, a3}, …, {a35, a36}, {a36, a1}. (still thers is matter )

answers is Take a2 in the set now a1 and a3 have shaken hands with him.a4 has not so we take a5 in the set thus a4 and a6 have shaken hands with the set but a7 has not so we take a8...thus we leave a gap of two people and select the third person in the set. So answer is 36/3 = 12

  3. hi friends
there is no difference between calculating 3 for 1000 and 777(1000-1).
    below 777 means any 3 digit no(we take 1 as 001)
    a 3-digit no is _ _ _.
    now fix 3 at single digit place means _ _ 3 - then 64 3's
    now fix 3 at 8-base digit place means _ 3_ - then 64 3's
    now fix 3 at 64-base digit means place 3 _ _ - then 64 3's
    now all are 192 3's
